We are happy to announce that an International conference entitled Various Aspects of Dynamical systems is to be held at The MS University of Baroda during August 29-September 01, 2010. This is a satellite event to the International Congress of Mathematicians (Hyderabad, August 19-27, 2010). Last four decades have witnessed enormous development in various areas of Dynamical systems including Ergodic Theory, Topological and Differentiable Dynamics, Complex Dynamics and Symbolic Dynamics. Organizing such an event will certainly provide a wonderful rare opportunity to bring several experts from various countries together on one platform who are actively working in various sub-disciplines of dynamical systems. We expect it would promote interactions and shall lead to collaborative researches. Moreover, the young generation of researchers will be exposed to the latest developments in dynamical systems and related areas and they will get good opportunity to interact and discuss new ideas with the experts present.

Looking to usefulness of studies done in the branches of dynamical systems discussed above and further scope of study, we are planning to have separate sessions in the following areas:

  • Complex dynamics and the theory of Julia sets
  • Cellular automata
  • Chaos and fractals
  • Differentiable dynamical system
  • Ergodic theory
  • Topological dynamics
  • Links with other areas, particularly, differential equations, number theory and combinatorics
